We are pleased to present the 2023 Total Praise Black Art calendar in conjuction with Theresa Cates. She started painting as a means of escaping the cruelty she faced in her home and has been self-taught since she was five years old, or as she likes to say, "God-taught." But by the mercy of God, out of the suffering, her gift was born, and He "blessed the work of [her] hands," enabling her artistic ability to grow. She keeps using her gift to bless those around her through commissioned civic murals and sharing her story thanks to the strength of forgiveness.
